I was the Editor of the Canadian Journal of Statistics, 2007-2009.

I organized (and partly taught) a short-course and workshop, April 24-25, 2008, here at UBC.The workshop was designed to bring health-researchers and academic statisticians together, while the short-course focussed on measurement error modelling in biostatistical settings.

I also taught a 1/2 day course on Bayesian methods at the ISCB meeting (Copenhagen, Aug. 2008), and co-taught a 1 day course on "Bayesian modelling in Epidemiology" at McGill (June 2010).

I did a stint as a member (2003-05) and then chair (2006) of Grant Selection Committee 14 (Stat. Sci.) at NSERC.
